The system specs are FAR too high for the average gamer. I believe thats why things are the way they are.

I liked this game. I played it for about 3 months daily until I got bored. Maybe its because I found out that some shopkeepers have unlimited amounts of some ingredients and I kept buying them to make potions to sell and got extremely rich off of it. I ended up with amazing custom spells and an insane alchemy skill. The story is non-existant early on, but I sorta got into the prophecy later. Its too bad that I made a wrong turn and got lost for a week. Its amazing how fast you can get lost, and how long it takes to get from 1 place to another. I was hoping for some kind of teleportation system like the Waypoints in Diablo 2 but no such luck. I hate how some of the required quests involve going between the big cities and the little town out in the middle of nowhere (i forget the name of the desert camp with the important people like the old woman or whatever) that took an hour or more to get to running. I also didn't like finding books and stuff that I spent several days looking for and it just got me like a compliment and another book searching quest.

Overall, I'd say its an 8/10. It is worth playing because you'll get several hours of entertainment. Always join the Thieves Guild. I was in all three guilds. The best part about the Thieves Guild is the ability to get warrants off you with bribes. I stole a shop from a shopkeeper by killing him and taking all his fine wares, then ran as fast as I could to the guy you pay to get the warrant to go away.

I thought it was a fairly sweet game, but the play balance could have used some more balancing... after level 30 or so my assassin was totally unstopable.

I enjoyed morrowind, but some things were lacking. Like becoming a guildmaster didn't really mean anything, other then that it was pretty good.

I loved morrowind. My PC couldnt' handle it so I got it for xbox. I actually thought it was a little easier using the controller with menus, but the game was so buggy, I stopped playing it. I was a level 52 thief. The best part about the game was m fiance actually got into it too and we'd spend weeks playing it. Hopefully when the Tribunal and Bloodmoon equipped version comes out, i'll start playing it again.

Morrowind is great, i played this game for the longest time.. still do today. The only downside is thers not really any plot involved so it can get boring.

I had a really difficult time getting in to Morrowind. It seemed to be almost like an offline mmorpg, yet who wants to play with npc's instead of players? Being linear isn't necessarily bad, especially when telling a story. Some of the best rpg's are as linear as they come.

I thought morrowind was awesome, I don't play it much anymore but I was really addicted to the game for awhile.

I love Morrowind, I just wish I knew what to do next!! I am level 40 and don't have much to show for it except the people in Vivic hate me for trying on some gold armour once!

LOVE THAT CREEPER!

There are definitely man yways to exploit and cheat in the game.

However I think it's one of the best RPGs I've played so far. I try not to cheat and just play the game. It does have a very deep plot and history but it doesn't come out til after a few missions in the main quest.

And the books lying around actually tell a very good history of the land, people and their various religions. I am surprised and impressed by the amount of details they've put into it.

There are some addons you can download, and improve the game imensely, like one that makes you control the people in a guild if your a guild master and heaps of other stuff

yeah, too many ways to exploit it. especially with tribunal. i can't bring myself to live without alchemy, it's just too damned convenient. but the realization that i'm just a few button presses from being able to take on the most difficult fights in the game suck the fun out of it for me. i'm kinda interested in finishing all the quests, but they all feel like, find, hack repeat.

I thought it was a great game until I had so many side-quests that I couldn't keep track of them all and ended up just wandering around lost. I finally died of boredom and never played it again.

Oh, and this was on XBox. Worst feature was the 5 minute loading screen after each death. Hard to stay awake...
