Kratos is a ruthless God, whose wrath strikes down anyone who crosses his path or the path of his beloved Sparta. Kratos' journey brings him to the very edge of the Earth, facing countless beasts, monsters, and horrors from his previous life, all bent on preventing him from reaching his goal. Gameplay Description for GOD OF WAR II
In God of War II, players retake the role of Kratos. Armed with the deadly blades and blistering rage, players will be aided by new breath-taking magic and new brutal combat moves. The journey will take them through vividly striking environments where they will be faced with a labyrinth of challenging puzzles and mini-games intricately woven into the story. The violent world of Greek mythology will come to life in gory detail as Kratos encounters new mythical characters, and compete in epic boss battles in his quest.

Features :

- Huge Collection of Combat Moves: Players can utilize their favourite combo attacks from GOD OF WAR along with a whole new set of moves and magic. Magic is based on nature's elements which include utilizing the power if wind, ice and much more.
- New Characters: From the popular Cyclops and Cerebus to the Flying Gryphon and more, players will encounter some of the greatest Greek mythological beasts, along with more enemies and bosses.

Woo I can't wait for this. You can immediately see they'll be following up on the "brutal" nature of the first GoW.

I wonder if they will include flying in this next game.

oh wow! i bought the game for my brother this xmas and we got half way through in like 3 days.. i fucking loved the style! i can't wait to finish it and to get this one!

I have been excited about this game for a while now!!!!!!!

I can't wait until it comes out.

I wonder if the designers are going to be able adapt the engine to another era of history.

There were some interesting set pieces and abilities that were left out of the first one (shown in the extras when you complete the game) and I hope they can fit them into God of War 2.
The first one was a very fun, original game and a bit of a sleeper hit, but now the pressure is on and I hope they don't fold under it.

I know the developers were upset they didn't get to finish up their flying stuff for the first game and I'm sure I read something about God of War 2 and Icarus...I'll see if I can find it.

I thought the first game was unbelievable. It felt rushed towards the end and I felt that the game was waaay too short, but boy, oh boy, was it fun.

I can't wait for a sequel. Like djflish said, I only hope they don't fold under the pressure.

Recently saw some pics from the latest Game Informer and I'm even more excited after seeing some of the executions you can do to the cyclops and the other new enemies.

I finally got around to beating GOW 1 the other day and I don't think I can wait until next year for the sequel. Just imagining Kratos with more power makes me want to punch someone in the face. I'm definitely beyond the age where it's acceptable to be so excited over a video game, but this one was just too fun.

Cannot wait for this one to drop, I loved the first one and gave it easily my best of 05 award for last year. The gameplay was there, the puzzles were a blast, boss battles amazing and the graphics kicked major ass.

Can't wait for the game. I had sort of hoped the series would follow different mythologies with each incarnation but I suppose that was just a fan's hope to begin with.

I'm praying they have a little more time for this game than the original, as there were a few bad parts allowed to exist mainly due to time constrictions. I think I recall them saying that, anyway.
