Battlefield Modern Combat vs. Battlefield 2
Do you guys think there is any reason for someone who owns Battlefield 2 on PC to purchase Battlefield Modern Combat for Xbox 360? I've watched a few videos for BFMC on gametrailers.com and it actually looks pretty cool. The graphics look a bit better, and the hot-swap thing makes single-player actually worth playing.
Anyone else having this dilemma? What are your thoughts? |

They're two completely different games. Go for it if you want a good console FPS. The graphics are by no means better on console unless your PC sucks really bad. I don't mind console FPS controls...I actually think they work better than PC controls in some games (Call of Duty 2 for XBox 360 and Halo 1 + 2 come to mind).

Well I have a decent PC so I can run BF2 1024x768 with high detail, which looks very nice. But the screen shots of the Xbox 360 version looked pretty nice too. It looks like it has some extra effects such as light distortion around explosions, motion blur, soft lighting, extra particles (debris, fog)etc. And it's got empty shells flying everywhere, heh. I wonder if it would have 2 player split-screen. That would be a perk.
This is the version I was talking about... ![]() NOT this...(regular Xbox version) ![]() |
