guns are finished... whew! good thing they finally figured that out and finished them all.
Now to finish up the creatures... get back to work |
"2006 may be the year pigs fly:.....nice!

I think they changed graphics engines like 10 times, so they have to start over and over.. Didn't it start out on the Unreal engine, which was back in 97-98 I think? I loved Duke 3D, but I don't think I really care if it gets released now or not.

I'm sure lots of people feel that way, but I'm one of those people that will mostly likely play the finished product just to see why the hell it took so long to finish. |
I'll believe this game exists in any shape or form when it's in a box and I can play it. Until that point, it's all smoke up the ass. The old Duke Nukem games are beautiful things, but I remember looking forward to this game's RELEASE in high school, which is getting to be close to ten years ago. 3drealms apparently missed the memo about striking while the iron is hot.

*claps with excitement* C'mon guys! You can do it! Just a little further...
Oh shit! There's a new engine out! |
well lets see if this is true or just....
|
Jesus Christ! They're still working on that game?!
|
Update: the soundtrack will be exclusively selected from Guns N' Roses' latest album Chinese Democracy.
|
Come on he's screwing with you guys! Don't believe his lies! He knows there hasnt been 1 person working on that game in 6 years!
|
I remain . . . skeptical!
|
I'm with Carn. I can't believe this is still even a prospect? I thought they ditched this YEARS ago. I mean, like 6 years ago they were making fun of how long it was taking to finish - holy shit.

The last trailer showed promise. Story line and writing has to be good for them to save face. |
I know they switched from Unreal to Q3 at some time, then back to Unreal 2.. I've lost track.
|
We will Never see this game. If it does actually ship, it will be a bug infested POS.

Personally I'm betting one person is working on this between other projects just so the devs can say they finished Duke Nukem Forever. I mean this game was hyped more than Halo 2 for a while there. Quote:
That's funny for all the wrong reasons. |
Jesus. The "Duke Nukem Forever's coming out" announcement started to seem as old as AYBABTU. I guess they decided to add another layer of desilusionment to the project that never ends...if anyone cares enough to be desilusioned anymore..
|
has anyone thought to themselves "What happens if this games comes out"
What if it comes out and its the greatest games of all time> what what if it totaly rocks? what do we do? what will we say? |

And yes, I am patiently awaiting TF2 and the Optimus keyboard. |

You know it would mean a total collapse of Western Civilization, of Capitalism. It is a sign that the world as we know it is ending. DN: Forever signal a new would of equality among the races. It would be a new age of utopian equality. That or it will cause India and Pakistan to go at each other with the business ends of nuclear weapons plunging the world into 50 year winter. Both seem equally plausible. |
Tagline: Remember me? I'm cool!
I will be very surprised if this game ends up being at all worthwhile. I gotta wonder how they still have money to make this thing. |
