Bioware contest for Neverwinter Nights
In case you didn't know, Bioware recently hosted a module writing contest for Neverwinter Nights. FngKestrel and I created a module and have submitted it for the contest. You guys can check out the module here. FngKestrel did the implementation and I wrote most of it. If you like it, you can vote on it as part of the contest. Hell, you can vote on it even if you do not like it. Either way, let us know here what you think of it. We plan on making some in the future, so any comments would be welcome. The module should only take 5-10 minutes to play through, tops. Keep in mind that there were severe restrictions in place for the contest, as they wanted to focus on the writing - check the link above to see what the restrictions were. The winner could potentially end up with a job at Bioware, so wish us luck.
Thanks in advance for playing and/or commenting. FYI - my Bioware username is Aristobulous the Artificer, in case you were wondering who that guy is. Last edited by Coppertop; 01-31-2006 at 11:51 AM.. |

I've just played through it (twice actually after first accusing the wrong person ).
Second time through I knew who I wanted to accuse, but actually getting through the conversation to get to the end point was a little labourious. It may have been better if there was multiple paths to the end point in the murderer's conversation. (I'm deliberately not naming characters here because I don't want to spoil anyone elses go at the module. Also, was it not possible to put an "end" sequence on it? It seems kinda funny that it just ... ends. and the voting is done...

It definitely is possible to make the ending real, but since Bioware wasn't concerning themselves with fancy script writing or battles, we concentrated on the dialogue.
That and we were running out of time at the end. Thanks for putting up with my sloth, Kestrel. |
