Games for people who can't play instruments
This is my favorite kind of game, but there doesn't seem to be much out there. I have Frequency and Guitar Hero. Both are brilliant. I'll eventually get Amplitude.
I've got Electroplankton. Everyone can just sort of pick it up and play with it. It's like a rattle for college kids. What else is out there? I know this is a relatively unexplored "genre", the rythm game with where you actually build your own music... What have you played?

dance with intensity on PC is a good dance dance clone that you can play with your arrow keys instead of using a pad... some might say that that takes all of the fun out of the game, but it's more like just playing a mini-game or something, and trust me, it gets pretty hard even using the arrow keys.

There's a drumming game for the ps2.
There's a maracas (sp?) game for the dreamcast. There's also flash flash revolution (internet version of ddr) that uses arrow keys. You actually CAN buy those ddr pads that hook up to your computer. My friend has 1, it's quite fun to play.

Don't forget Donkey Konga Bongos rule! Jungle Beat, as well, is an extremely polished, fun and unique game. For those not in the know, it's a 2D DK game in the same vein as the SNES ones, except it's controlled with bongo drums. Nothing quite like literally smacking the crap out of an enemy and getting some real feedback.

stevie, there's only one four-player mode in Konga, at least in the first one. You will do quite fine with two, and maybe stand-in controllers for anyone else.

Sell your firstborn! Get another job! Have a garage sale, donate sperm, sell a kidney, do whatever it takes to get the damn games
Bongos are much more fun than children, anway.
