Age of Empires 3 problem
Im trying to have a direct IP game of AOE3 with a friend, and everytime he
connects to me, he gets a message "The host has cancelled the game". Ive set DMZ on, and all firewalls are off. Anyone got an ideas?

I had the same problem. I solved it with hamatchi.
http://www.hamachi.cc/ I've never had any gameplay issues though, granted I only patch when I confirm that the people I play against have already patched. AoE3 is not a buggy piece of crap in my experience, nor in that of at least 3 other friends of mine. |

Have you enabled plug and pray UPnP is required to host AOE III You may also have to forward ports AND have DMZ enabled. Is your ISP blocking gaming ports Charter is blocking my port 80(http) and some of the file sharing ports You can run the shields up test to see what ports are open https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2 EDIT here is the port info Quote:
