so far I've looked at late 40's to mid 50's Chevy, Ford, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Bentley, Studebaker...no hits yet.

I'm sure it's a sweet chariot, though, no matter what it is.

They have the same five-star design and finished look as the Porsche sports... couldn't see close enough to identify an emblem in the middle though.

I forgot to add that I also checked out Jaguars, VW Bugs, Hudsons, Willy's and Henry J's...I love 1951+ Henry J's, maybe I should build one as a street rod.

MIA KIRSHNER FANSITE!!! (clicky to visualize)

For the longest time I thought she was Natasha Leggero, but just recently found out she isn't.

In fact, I didn't know either of their names prior to the day of rings (dia de Saturno).

that's the Jag ring and I were speculating about since we both had one in the family...but I still don't think it's an E-Type due to a couple details that just don't look correct to me...but I could be wrong since I haven't been wrong for the longest time.

Longest annular eclipse wows Africa BBC News - Longest annular eclipse provides spectacle

A solar eclipse that reduced the sun to a blazing ring surrounding a black disk has entered the record books as the longest annular eclipse for 1000 years.

The phenomenon which lasted eleven minutes and eight seconds, set a record that will not be beaten for another millennium.

An annular eclipse occurs when the moon only blocks the sun's middle therefore creating a ring, and could be seen across parts of Central Africa, the Maldives, southern India, northern Sri Lanka, parts of Burma and China.

Local media in the affected areas issued warnings about the dangers of looking directly at the sun, but fascinated onlookers thronged streets to witness the occasion and were plunged into semi-darkness.

Canyon passage in Mammoth Cave, the world's longest cave.

The cave system with the greatest total length of surveyed passage is Mammoth Cave (Kentucky, USA) at 591 kilometers (367 mi) in length. This record is unlikely to be surpassed in the near future, as the next most extensive known cave is Jewel Cave near Custer, South Dakota, at 225 kilometers (140 mi).

I watched it.
It reminds me that I would have been a very good helicopter pilot.
The lessons were too expensive.

I love helicopters. Riding/flying in one, is very much like being a bird.

E-types are reputed to be crumpet magnets though I'm not really a dessert guy.

I remember when my daughter was just 6 yo and I got into one of those small, glass dome front helicopters with her, just enough room for the pilot and the two of us sitting across the front, and she's clinging to me afraid of all the motor and rotor noises, and suddenly the copter lifts and her face lights up and she smiles as we hover over the Niagara River a mile or so upstream from Niagara Falls, head downstream watching as the rapids get more and more violent and suddenly the bottom falls out and we're over the Falls...wow, flooding the senses with excitement! 22 years later she's still buzzing from that. We have to do that again soon.

Yes we do.

Around corn harvest time in our rural communities,
there is a family operation (twin brothers and their mother)
that are super dedicated to giving helicopter rides.

It's their passion. The paltry amount of money they make traveling from one corn roast to another, just pays for the upkeep of their birds.

My mom hasn't been up yet.
I so look forward to seeing her delight, as we ascend.

Next August for sure.

Rule 1 of flight:

Every take-off is optional, and every landing is mandatory.....
