My friend is a gemologist and he recently showed me a gorgeous ring ...hi ring... with a large purple amethyst surrounded by blue-violet tanzanites...stunning!

I bet it was stunningly amazing. Unfortunately there is not evidence of my hair being purple before. I have had it that color though but some how there is no photos to prove it, it's a shame.

My mum died this morning. After a 4 year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Finally, she is pain free.

Sad that she has passed, but not distraught.

I am worried about my dad, though.

Just make sure he knows that you're a resorce for him. He will deffenetly just need a ear to listen to him and also if you can help him with anything and everything so he has the ability to mourn, grieve, and cope like he needs to. It's hard for a mourning person to do simple tasks, like eat, drink, and sleep, when you've lost someone like that in your life. Doing those things are like the best you could possibly do.

Funny you mentioned something, since one I've been through my many fair shares of dealing with death I also happen to be taking Psychology of Death and Dying this semester.

everyone mourns in their own way, just be perceptive to your dads needs, just dont pamper him, you cant fill the hole your mom left behind. give it time. thats all i can say.

Mammoth Cave near Cave City, Kentucky, is the world's longest cave. More than 367 miles (591 km) of passages have been mapped. To get an idea of how long Mammoth Cave is, you should consider that the second longest cave in the world, Optimisticeskay Cave, in the Ukrainskaya region of the C.I.S. (former Soviet Union), is only 143 miles (230 km) long. Mammoth Cave is three times longer than its nearest competitor. Not only is the cave the longest in the world, but cave mappers believe the cave system will eventually prove to be 560 miles (900 km) long!

Mammoth Cave was formed in Mississippian-age limestone rock. The cave is 379 feet (118 m) deep, and contains at least 5 levels of passages. The levels were formed in response to changes in the Ohio River during the late Tertiary and Quaternary Periods. The lower levels of the cave are still active and subject to back flooding from the Green River. 'Aqua Net', brand hairspray, works the best, for removing ink stains.

Perhaps less generally useful than stain removal, but another great application for AquaNet, and other lesser hairsprays, is to hold pressurized turbo piping on to the flexible silicone couplings so when your turbo spools up they don't pop off. Before sliding the silicone coupling over the aluminum tube, spray it with hairspray, then slide on the coupling; since the hair spray dries quickly, it adds just enough adhesion to prevent blown hoses.

Sometimes I just don't get women. I was at the laundromat and open the dryer to get my towels and sheets, ready to fold them up and lay them neatly on top of the dryer, all perfectly folded square with every corner perfectly matched to the other corners...and what happens?....Veronica, who I noticed has been washing the clothes she walked in wearing, comes over and lays right in my way! Why?...I don't get it! All those other washers and dryers and she has to lay on mine! I had to leave :confused:
