I would suggest something to do with burst plumbing. There's nothing like catastrophic water damage and a late, expensive plumber to demand your attention and garner sympathy. The possiblilities are endless: Isn't your dishwasher past its warranty? And I heard your upstairs neighbour has a leaky bathtub drain. And doesn't your sprinkler system go off with the slightest rise in temperature? And where the hell has your Super been these days.

Any camping plans this summer? We're looking at a weekend in a Provincial park on Georgian Bay in August. I cant' wait.

I collect thimbles. My mom is a travel agent, and she wanted to be able to get something small for my sister and I wherever she went. My sister collects spoons.

I'm not really a camping person. However, I am going to a cabin in a very secluded area of Northern California (almost to Oregon) for Memorial Day Weekend.

What is your favorite televion show? I've become hooked on How I Met Your Mother, and it is the only show where I actually laugh out loud every episode.

You just cant beat the Simpsons in my opinion, (the past couple of seasons have been spotty, for humor, but over all its consistently Hilarious!)

What would be your last meal?

Mine would be a 16 oz. barbeque'd rib steak, with lobster, a cherry cheese cake and a ice cold pepsi ... i'm getting hungry

I have been in the water since I was six weeks old... I love swimming, the water (have to be near it), oh, and yes, I am a good swimmer. =)

When I was moving across the country the first time (CA to FL), we stopped somewhere in Texas to get gas and food. While we were checking out, the clerk noticed the 15' moving truck with my car on the trailer on the back, and asked where we were moving to. I told her we were going to Florida. She said (and this is not indicative of all Texans, I know) "Aren't you afraid of being near all that water?" I told her that I was moving from California, and would feel lost without being near an ocean. But that's not my best stupid person story (hey, is there a thread on that already?)....

What is your favorite sound? I would have to call a tie between rain on a tin roof (reminds me of my grandmother's place), and the sound of pots and pans being taken out of the cabinets on a weekend morning when I'm staying at my mom's house (the smells of breakfast usually follow shortly).

What is your favorite sexual position?

777 - Depends on my craving (the joys of being a woman). Sometimes it's chocolate, sometimes it's something carby, sometimes it's salty, just depends on the craving.

Toaster126 - Favorite sexual position is doggy style... great access for both of us. =)

What do you do when you're happy? I have a tendency to jump up and down, all giddy at the initial excitement.

It's off and on rainy, but that's Florida summer for you. Right now, it's sunny and humid, but there were thunderstorms a few days ago (love being inside and hearing the rain and thunder).

What do you use when washing your clothes? I use laundry soap, OxyClean, and fabric softener.

To me, it symbolizes mystery. passion is another good description when I think of or see the color. Depends on the shade. To me- the deeper the shade, the more mysterious.

What kind of personality traits of yourself (good or bad) can you stem from your upbringing or past relationships? Do you think that the way you are today is because of how you were raised?

Ooh!!! My best one is from a past relationship (and I'm very proud of how things turned out... not exactly proud of how I got here, but the ends justify the means). I'm not a jealous person. I used to be. I was the crazy, psycho, stalker girlfriend who latched on, made one man in particular my entire life, and lost my identity completely. My insecurity made me latch on even more, and the vicious cycle ensued. When I broke it off with him for the last time, that was the end of that nasty behavior, and I haven't been jealous since. =)

It's late, and I can't think of a good question off the top of my head, so if you could think of a question that you would love to answer, what would it be, and what would the answer be?

Ok.. so the question that you would have asked had you not been sleepy.. .is HOW do you make a decision?
I make a decision by listing out the plusses and minusses for each choice and deciding from there which is the lesser of two evils and go with it.

I have a big decision coming up, and I honestly haven't made up my mind yet which way I'm going... my usual method isn't working because no matter which way i go, i'm going to let someone down and they are going to be disappointed... I'm not good with that at all.. and i avoid it at all costs, often at the expense of my happiness.

How do you deal with disappointing other people?

Disappointing other people makes me sick to my stomach. No, seriously. I get violently ill, almost as if I have heartburn.

I lose sleep, trying to make ammends and fretting about what I should have said or done. I then over-compensate, sacrificing my own personal good and well-being so that the person forgets about my disappointing them.

Sheesh. Talk about something I need to work on.

the phone call at 2:00pm this afternoon when Ihave to make up my mind - and i have absolutely no clue as to what i'm going to do...

Lately I have this complete fascination with cranes... ya know those big ole things that are used on construction sites to assemble even bigger buildings... Part of my fascination with them, is I have no idea how they get built... they seem to magically grow out of the ground out ofa great big concrete block... they also appear overnight it seems... They seem too large to transport by truck- some are 10 stories high or taller... I'll figure it out...

What's your random fascination?

Along the same lines... whenever we'd go down to visit my dad's family in San Luis Obispo, they have these machines along 101 that I think are going down for oil or water or something, but my sister and I called them hammerheads, because their heads looked like they were almost hammering into the ground.

When you get sick, what makes you feel better? I'm a fan of a warm blanket, the TV remote, a bottle of Gatorade, and someone to take care of me.

Our next public holiday is Youth Day, on June 16th. It falls on a Friday so it becomes a long weekend. Mandy and I will probably do something together and there's a chance a friend of from outta town will come down for a visit, but no plans yet.

When I was 9 or 10, I stole 13c from my piggy bank and went off to buy sweets. Obviously my parents found out where I'd got the money and I got a whoopin' so bad I remember it to this very day.

When you were a kid, did you ever get caught stealing?

Nope, never stole anything, because if i got caught, i wouldn't have lived to tell about it.

when's the last time you had a bandaid on any part of your body.

Currently I'm sporting a sponge bob bandaid on my top of my index finger on my right hand... hurts like hell to bend it... I have some very sharp knives in my kitchen because sharp knives are supposed to prevent injuries... (dull knives can slip and cause cuts) Well I'm a klutz and clearly should be using plastic cutlery because i was washing a knife in the sink last night, it slipped in the soapy water and came down on my index finger... I have a half inch gash on my finger now - bled like a stuck pig... wasn't fun.. but sponge bob is cool..

what's your least favorite household chore?
mine would be taking out the trash... cause it means getting dressed, putting on shoes (which I hate), packing up the trash, leaving my apartment andlocking the door, walking outside, and downt he hill to the dumpster and then walking back up the hill and unlocking two sets of doors to get back in...

Rudeness has many forms, and I think all of my pet peeves are tied to them. I guess that chief two would be related to bablies, keeping them in normally quiet areas while they are crying, and using their strollers to bull your way through a crowd.

I kid you not, my wife and I went to a weekend festival where there were two seperate couples who left the baby with someone else, but brought the stroller to navigate crowds.

That, and strollers that are now approaching the size of some European cars.

When was the last time you had to let down an unrequited crush? Me, college.

Last week on vacation in France. A highlight was on our second last night, in Paris, when my wife's parents looked after our son. We so rarely get out at night together, and being able to do so in Paris was wonderful. We took the metro up the to the far end of the Champs de Lessay, and then strolled back downtown, eventually settling in at a cafe in the Left Bank for some sublime coffee and creme brulee. We're so spoiled. I'm still on a bit of a high.

What is first on your list of dream vacation spots? I'd very much like to see the Alps.
