Wow... let's see if I remember how to do this...
|
Collins Bay Marina?
|
Hey Ch'i... Do you know the way to San Jose?
|
No guesses?
|
The "lighthouse" at Confederation Basin? I don't know it's name. Kingston, of course.
|
No. Right province though.
|
Port Dalhousie...Saint Catherines?
|
Quote:
Seriously. How low can you go, Mr. Ten Below? |
Splck... Port Dalhousie for the steal.
...and Ch'i? I can go as low as I need to. |
|
I had to go way back to post #83 by Feelgood to get this one.
It's the SS Moyie in Kaslo, BC. I'd say it's almost the exact same design as the SS Klondike up in Whitehorse. Cool! |
That's it. Kaslo is one weird little town, let me tell ya.
It's also very similar to the SS Sicamous in Penticton. |

Is that a tobacco drying shed in Tilsonburg?
|
Nope. Interesting guess, but much older than that. Sort of. :)
|
I see it's a long house now... Is it the one in northern Ontario where all those French monks were massacred?
St. Marie or something like that? |
Ste Marie Among the Hurons...
The longhouse. (Maybe?) If not that, then I go with Crawford Lake in Mississauga. Ya, I think it's more likely to be Crawford Lake, as I think I see the Lacrosse field beside the longhouse. |

Leto takes it! It's the longhouse in the reconstructed Huron/Wendat village at Crawford Lake in Southern Ontario.
It's not in Mississauga though. Its farther west towards Hamilton, south of Guelph. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crawfor...servation_Area |
Yes, I was half awake when I wrote that... Northern is a bit of an exaggeration. I was thinking Georgian Bay and to a Toronto boy anything north of Steeles is Northern Ontario.
|
hoo haa! I remember my field trip there with the kids in my son's gr 6 class.
Okay, here you go: (ps Festivus for the rest-of-us! Happy Festivus - it's the 23rd!) http://i639.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/IMG00162.jpg |
That looks like the Ex to me. Medieval Times building?

Actually, stop lights are red in T.O. :D (shit eating grin).
|
nope. not in Toronto.
I think those traffic lights are actually yellow, just the lighting/camera phone make em look darker |
Kingston City Hall
|
Game on Tiberius! Yes this is a view from the backside of the city hall. Taken from Brock street (just outside of Cooke's Fine Food).
|
Kingston's backside looks a little big after teh holidays

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c5...4/DSCF1595.jpg Obviously, it's a railway bridge. The photo was taken by yours truly in 2001. It is a "Through Truss" type railway bridge of which there are probably thousands in Canada. So, it would be pretty hard to peg unless you've been there, as I have. Never the less, (here's a clue).... There is a geographical significance to this particular railway bridge. |
Is the significance that this is a border crossing?
|
Quote:
But, as I said, the significance is "geographical". |

Here's another clue..... That photo was taken the first week in October in 2001 |
Is there a connection to 9/11?
|
Quote:
Just a co-incidence. The fact that the photo was taken in the first week of October of 2001 is relevant as to WHERE the photo could have been taken. Hint, it sure wasn't Toronto... |
well, judging by the snow, it definitely isn't Toronto. Let's see, RR bridge,, beside a highway, snow on the ground in Oct. Pairing of road & RR means efficiencey of land use, perhaps quite a ways north. Is this north of Edmonton?

Somewhere along the divide of one of these drainage basins?
