I think that slate roof looks like one in Gananoque Ontario.
|
Is that congregation a regular thing, or is the first picture of a special event?
|
it's a pretty regular thing in the summer time, sunday afternoons around 3, if my memory serves. We can hear the organ music from our island.
|
That would be definately in Gananoque... The Church in the shot is St. John's Catholic Church.

Half-Moon Bay, a large crescent-shaped inlet in the St. Lawrence River near Gananoque, Ontario
|
Technically speaking, an inlet can't be in a river! But you are correct on the name, Half-Moon Bay is on Bostwick Island in the Admiralty Group, near Gananoque.

That's the Peacekeepers' Monument in Ottawa, at Sussex Dr. and St. Patrick.
It was unveiled in 1992 and is titled "Reconciliation" The inscription reads: "We need action not only to end the fighting but to make the peace… My own government would be glad to recommend Canadian participation in such a United Nations force, a truly international peace and police force." — Lester B. Pearson, Nov. 2, 1956 |
Here's my next one.

I'm far too happy with myself for finally seeing something I recognized before someone else named it.

|
Nope. Although many post-secondary students probably think they might be a bit crazy.
|
Brandon University?
|
Nope. In a maritime province. The sign I'm standing beside says founded 1838.

Game on Fresnelly!

Cool!
Speaking of Secret Government labratories... What nefarious plans are they cooking up in this mysterious structure, I wonder? http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...posts/1105.jpg |

naa I don't think so. I don't have the vibe that it's the zoo. It looks too pointy. I'm going to go withthe Great Prairie Sod House Museum ??? |
I agree... not the Zoo. Not enough concrete for the entrance I'm thinking about and too underground.
