Hint #4: It is located on a sizable lake.

I love this thread. i wish i was here from the begining. i was kind of out for a while - trip to vancouver over christmas, and being generally busy...
is that Deerhurst? ( a real guess as I have not been there, ever...) |
Welcome back Janey... I missed you.
Nope. Not Deerhurst. That's too far north. |
Found it! The Manor House on the Briars' Estate in Jackson's Point on the South shore of Lake Simcoe.
Have you ever stayed there? It looks incredible! |
Game on Fresnelly!
The Briar's is a very neat place. I've been to weddings there and I've had tea in the tower but I've never stayed there. The stable where my wife used to work summers was just south of there in Egypt. |
There's an Egypt, Ontario?!? What other existing city and country names haven't we borrowed for our own?
OK, here's the first in my series of houses in Toronto, owned by the insane: (I'll take a street name) http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...s/134_3485.jpg |
there's a town called Manila in Ontario, north of Whitby...
That street looks similar to the Jones Ave house that always had the Grinch display at Christmas... |

I've thought I could get close on the last couple. Well, that staircase was pretty specific. But I have no illusions that I'll ever be able to get 'crazy person's house in Toronto'. I'm all for a challenge, but if even google can't help me, than I'm out of luck.
Westerner whining, I know. But I wanted to play and I thought I'd get it one of these times. |

don't give up... there's some pretty decent coverage from the country going on. Even those of us local to toronto can't get some of these fairly specific pics... |
I know I've driven by this house and I know which neighbourhood it is in. Now I just have to remember the street name... Coady Ave?
Bossnass... keep trying. Most correct answers come from Google rather than actually knowing the answer. |

Imagine living beside that nut.
Time for a bon fire. |
|
My original guess of Coady Ave. was exactly one street east of the correct answer: Bertmount Avenue (I forgot to check the address as I was driving by it just now... 35 maybe?).
Here it is at night: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/attachm...id=13591&stc=1 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...1/d3d37b79.jpg |
i almost said Mel Lastman Sqr, except.. it doesn't look anything like it
|
Nope. Not the shrine that Mel built to his ego.
This is in another city and it is apropriate give what is about to happen in about two weeks. |
Olympic Plaza with old City Hall, Calgary, Alberta
|
Damn. Here I was whining about not being able to guess, and here is a place I've actually been. I'm 100% sure you're correct lucifer.
|
Game on Lucifer!
The Olympics in Turin start in less than two weeks. |
|
That's in Goderich, Ontario.
|

Game ON! |
|
Point Edward Ontario?
|
No. Not Point Edward, Ontario
|

Fort York was a gimmie...
Yours is a tough one. I'll have to think on it a bit. |
Yahooooo!!! Stumped Charlatan!! (lucifer gets up a dances a jig!)

|
Hi Lucifer, is that river in Ontario? is it the Green River?
|
It is in Ontario, but it's not Green River.
|
The man dressed in white in the center of the picture is a minister giving a sermon, and the green box in the back is the cover for the organ.
|
nope. This is hard.
