Just curious, but anyone else here hang out on the Canucks NG or in the Chat room during the games?

I'd rather be watching the game
Man, they had the opportunities tonight, I thought they played a great game, some key defensive breakdowns, and just couldn't pot their chances. Easily could have gone a different way tonight, but fuck... that's a big loss

<--- Can't watch the game. Although I still pay for Sportsnet Pacific here, they black out the games for some reason. I have to listen to the games on CKNW online. Hoo-ray for Larscheid.
You want Fanboy announcers Temporary_user? Listen in on CKNW for the games. You can hear the hardons through the speakers :/

Or, better yet, why the hell didn't Nonis snatch him up the second he started looking west....

What a dumb-shit GM we have... I told EVERYONE that the Canucks would RUE THE DAY they let go of Brian Burke It was one prediction I didn't want to come true, but I knew it would. Dave Nonis is going to sink the Canucks for as long as it takes for him to get fired.

Edmonton, all the way. I know Calgary has the work ethic and all, but since the stars left, Edmonton just seems to be the perpetual underdog, Pronger or not.

I guess the irony of it all is, Now that they missed the playoffs, the off season may be more exciting than what the playoffs would have been. Sakic? Chara?
And who's even going to be left.

Shift of focus: What do you guys think of rumors that Bertuzzi will be traded? http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=162744&hubname= Quote:
He wasn't the only player who underperformed at the Olympics; Canada's entire team underperformed. Iginla, Heatley, Thorton, all bust. I thought he had a great year considering all the pressure he was under and all the distractions he faced. You have to look at his stats from the past few seasons and see that a 70pt season isn't a failure. It's called statistical regression towards the mean. He finished third on the team in points. Yeah, he was -17... Naslund was -19, nobody is calling for his head. Yet. All in all, I think Bertuzzi is a valuble asset to the Canucks, and I hope he's around for many years to come. I feel trading him would come back to bite us in the ass in a major way. We need a power forward.

I cant really speculate on if he'll be traded or not. He had an average season.
Him getting traded or not, really all depends on whether the rumours that the locker room is divided are true or not. It would be tough for him to play where he gets booed all the time. I dont know how many teams will want him and his big price tag. If he is gone, I could only see him fitting in on the leafs. but that is just my wacky speculation on who, if any whould want him. |

I do think he'll get traded. Everyone knows I'm not the biggest fan of Bert, I think he was a floater all year long, but if he stays I won't be upset. You won't see Crawford back next year, and I think perhaps a change of perspective could be just as useful as a change of scenery to him.
Bertuzzi has tons of skill, tons. He just isn't using it. The people inside of that franchise are better suited to determine if he will next year, but if I have to watch him floating around the blue line waiting for passes instead of earning the puck again, I gonna be pissed.

You think they can do it? That was a sweet goal with 30 seconds left in the 3rd. I haven't cheered like that in a long time.

But seriously, I think Bert needs one more chance, I mean he's still recovering from the fall out with him and steve-o. And if he can't recover like any good player from a bad year, then, who knows?
