Post(card)Secrets
 

Hey all. I just found a really beautiful site called PostSecret , where people anonymously send in homemade postcards with their secrets on them. I found some of them extremely sad, some funny, and some amazingly disturbing. Check it out and let me know what you think! Here's an example:

There is some truly creepy stuff on there, although some of it is rather poignant.

However, on the lighter side, I find the concept of not being able to poop in foreign countries funny for some reason.

Some of them are funny and disturbing, but ultimately, very sad.
It's a long list, but I found myself reading the whole thing straight through, despite how depressing it could be.
I suppose it made me realise how lucky I am to be 'normal' (if there is such a thing)


(BTW, is Entertainment the appropriate thread for this post?)

I thought about this one for a while. Maybe I should have looked harder, but Tilted Entertainment is where art is discussed (Tilted Artwork is for original stuff), so while PostSecret is several worlds away from the latest Hollywood blockbuster, it's definitely art.

sorry seems to fall more in Tilted nonsense then Entertainment or Art.....

not to confuse the item that it's nonsensical at all. I do appreciate the postcards I've seen but this doesn't generate discussion which is what these forums are all about.

Alright I'll try and fix that with two questions:

1.) What secrets might you TFP members write in?

2.) A running theme for me over the last two days has been realizing how much we all have in common. People I walk by on the street who on the surface I might have nothing in common with, may end up being closer in mind than I realize. What experiences have you had recently that have taught you not to think of strangers as distant people who you have nothing in common with?

I've looked at this site periodically over the last couple of years, and its poignant.

I don't really know what I'd discuss about it, except that it is interesting to find out there are usually at least a few people with secrets similar to our own.

And some pretty funny ones :cool:
