Hip Museum Acquires "Montreal" Info Site
For the Hip fans who've contacted me from this fine site, I figured I'd let you in on my big news:
I am really proud to let everybody know that the "Unreleased Songs Information Page" will now be hosted and maintained as part of A Museum After Dark. As some may already know, this was the site The Tragically Hip visited backstage in Montreal in order to look up the lyrics to their "Montreal." After brushing up on their own history, the band pulled out the tune and stunned fans during their December 2000 show as a tribute to the city's 1989 massacre. It's a fantastic list of everything from very early and extremely rare Hip songs and covers right up until the "It's Love" and "Mic Stand" stuff from 2004. The old site will stay up until mid-June before being shut down, and the new and updated site can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/stephendame/unreleased.html Thanks! |
