Kilgour says he is voting against the Liberals
Independent MP Kilgour to vote against Liberals
http://sympaticomsn.ctv.ca/servlet/A...hub=topstories That makes it 152 = Liberals - NDP - Independant (Parrish) 153 = Tories - Bloc - Independant (Kilgour) 1 = Independant (Cadman) In the case of a tie, the Speaker of the house votes 1 = Speaker |
Cadman has been leaning towards voting with the government... says his constituents don't want to go to the poll right now...
Parrish was whisked off to the hospital with stomach pains... they say she will be back for the vote... It has been years since Canadian politics have been this exciting. |
...and the speaker is a LIB.
|
The article says that Parish was not feeling well but that she will be available becuase a Liberal MP who si a doctor is going to visit her at her home and shoot her up with something that will take away the pain.
The speaker is a Lib. What are we looking at: - A pass to the Budget Vote - 153 to 153 to go infavour of the Liberals on C-43 the additions for the NDP to the budget. MPs will likely not break ranks but now that the Tories said they are not going to vote down the budget but that they will try to vote down C-43 there is a possibility that anybody who is really not happy with the dealings with the NDP will vote against C-43. Think of it. If you wanted the Budget to pass but you are not happy with the Gov't or the dealings with the NDP then here is your chance. Unlikely though. |

It is so exciting that there are about 5 of us talking about it. |
More like scary to me.
When all the dust settles at the end of this fiasco I suspect another seperation crisis is just around the corner. |
Jesus, Marq, you are on Fire today!
I was thinking the same thing! Are you sure that you are not the physical incarnation of the voices in my head? |
In your head, and under your bed.
|
I've been paying attention to this, just not posting because
a) I haven't been around much due to work b) When I get home from work I want to do something other than sit in my basement on the computer for the few hours I have before I have to go to sleep There ARE Canadians interested in this... they are just being wallflowers right now ;) |

The Tories are lead by the anti-christ, you know.
As much as I dislike Harper the closest I would see him coming to triggering seperatism is his desire to weaken Federalism by shifting more power to the provinces... That has more to do with a fundamental shift of power than seperatism... if any thing, that should shut up the seperatists because they would get what they want... wihtout leaving. |

There is always a separation crisis around the corner. This does nto change anything. |

The seperatists already get what they want without leaving. The problem is they just want all the cake and to eat it too. I wonder what would happen if everyone just ignored them. Think they'd go away? /threadjack/ People always comment on abolishing the senate. Isn't it unconstitutional to have a seperarist party representing themselves in the Commons? Treason no? Should be a law against that. |
