Blue Rodeo
I love Blue Rodeo, and I was thrilled to get ticks to see them here in Ottawa this past sunday, but the show was a little wierd.
Jim Cuddy rocked out like he always does, but I really got the feeling that Keelor had turned into Trey from Phish...So there was this Hippy v. Country vibe on stage. Has anyone else seen them on this tour? What did you think? |

Yes. Well I saw them on their last tour. Not this one. But I'm sure it's the same.
I saw them in Ottawa too. The vibe you got is not your imagination. Keelor and Cuddy always were two different artists. They never wrote the same kind of song. Cuddy is the love baladeer, Keeler is the hippy trippy drug induced lyricist. IT's been that way since diamond mine. The Ottawa crowd is probably the worst concert crowd in Canada. All suits. Total losers. Absolutely horrible. I stopped buying Blue Rodeo's albums after The Days In Between. Tremelo (sp?) was their last good album. TDIB is bad, and I am certain that BR is not getting any better with age. They peaked with 5 Days. It was all downhill after taht.
