Maybe it's one of those "If you can eat the whole it's free" deals.

Either way, I wonder if there's bacon on that thing.

Rdr4evr 01-07-2005 02:15 PM

What's the helmet for? He should be more worried about a heart attack.

Giant Hamburger 01-07-2005 02:25 PM

Hail Citizens!

The helmet has been added after the fact.
Here is the original image...

The hamburger is 96 ounces of beef and costs around 30 American dollars.
Here is the Snopes write up on the sandwich:

and here, as a bonus, is my new favorite hamburger commercial...

I think it's safer with the helmet on... It.. I... 6 POUNDS!!

From Snopes:
Quote:

Denny's (not to be confused with the national chain restaurants of the same name) offers prizes for customers who can completely consume one of their big burgers within a designated time period: a T-shirt, certificate, and 50% discount for anyone who finishes a Challenger (2 lb. burger) within an hour; a T-shirt, certificate, and 100% discount for anyone who can polish off a Baby Boy (3 lb. burger) in 90 minutes or less; and something special for anyone who manages the unthinkable and puts away a whole 96er (6 lb. burger) in under three hours. (That "something special" has yet to be awarded, as no one has so far successfully accomplished the feat.)
I could so put away at least a Challenger.

bundy 01-07-2005 06:24 PM

i think he's going to have better luck putting that burger into the blender and drinking it... i mean, look how small his mouth is compared to the giant hamburger.

omega2K4 01-09-2005 12:32 AM

I could eat that. If I didn't eat for like 5 days, and had a giant knife and fork to cut the big sumbitch into edible chunks. I'd have to have a couch on stand-by to take a nap after I consumed it.

yellowchef 01-09-2005 01:19 AM

yeah I saw that on Food Network, the burger, not the fat guy

yellowchef 01-09-2005 01:20 AM

Cheeburger Cheeburger has their burger that if you eat it in 90 min you get a pic on the wall and its free or some shit. Gross is what it was

K-Wise 01-09-2005 03:13 AM

Ha theres a place around here called "Slice Of Chicago" it's a pizza joint and it sells a burger called "Death by Hamburger" :hmm:

Asta!!

Stick 01-09-2005 03:24 AM

About 14 years ago - when I was touring with rock 'n roll bands - I found a shop in a small country town that had a monster hamburger they called a "Little Mick". I bought one. I devoured it. I was sick. We laughed about it for the rest of the tour.

K-Wise 01-09-2005 02:26 PM

^ Which bands man? Would we know em?

Asta!!

ruggles 01-11-2005 06:50 AM

i remember when i was the light rigger on the 87' foreigner tour, we were playing the garden and i ate a hot dog that was covered in ants just to smell the lead singers stretch pants...

it was awesome.

Probably not. Most Aussies who live on the east coast would have.
There were so many of them that making a list is a daunting task that I'd rather avoid.

ruggles 01-11-2005 10:33 AM

i wish this was a picture of a giant hamburger eating a black guy with a helmet on

thats humor to me

Giant Hamburger 01-11-2005 11:16 AM
