The OC
What the fuck is that? Anyone roll their eyes at the new series coming out on FOX "The OC." Growing up in Orange County, I don't remember it being anything like that...I sure as hell didn't call it The OC nor did I ever hear anyone else.
So now I suppose I'll have to bitch slap people when they try to correct me by saying "oh, you mean the OC." I'm not really mad; it actually makes me laugh. Ha fucking ha! |

Has Fox done anything right since The X Files and The Simpsons? They even make sports boring.

Banzai=teh suck. Worst idea for a show ever. I watched a total of .12 seconds before I was more annoyed and confused than anything else. Old japanese men yelling about old lady chicken challenge just gets a little old.
No need for yelling.

I liked the first episode.
The funniest moment was the scene when Seth mentioned the fact Ryan was from Chino, California. The girl who wanted Ryan really badly prior to this comment, Michelle, just backed off only because he lived somewhere else. What's wrong with Chino, California. Please fill me in. |

My opinion is that assholes basically mess with people they see as being different.. thus alienating people that add humor and interest in life... most assholes are cookie-cutter types.
Now I realize that that doesn't cover all assholes. I know there are many kinds but the assholes in this show are the same kind I have known since I was in High School and are the same ones I encountered in college and now. Basically the "I'm so awesome and cool and I have money so you automatically suck so get the hell out freak!" Edited to add: HeyAgain, the way I thought about it was that Chino is a prison in California... but I guess there must also be a town/city there as well..... |

I was hopeful for this show, because I had missed the premiere. But after last nights episode, it shows absolutely no promise. I might give it a second chance though, every show deserves more than 1 viewing, but I really can't see it turning around. Sorry Fox- you bought another bomb.

Who knows, I can definitely be wrong. Take that show The Restaurant on NBC. I watched the first two episodes and didn't really like it. Just saw the most recent episode on Sunday night and that show is starting to come around. Like I said, I'll be giving The OC another chance, see what happens with the arrest. I have to admit, Ryan's fate does interest me a little bit. |

If it is as riveting as some of you say then I might have to tune in!
I watched every single episode of both seasons of 24 and if it is even close to that good I will check it out!

I didn't think it was that bad actually, but I loved Firefly and John Doe is REALLY good too, I HATE FASTLANE with a passion that show is garbage. I wish they would come out with a dvd of firefly even though they didn't finish it.

if they want to show the real OC they'll add these storylines.
1. an entire episode where they're stuck behind an old person driving through laguna woods. 2. going to a miniture golf place in westminster and being accosted by wanna be asian gang members in honda civics with stickers. 3. involved in a car crash in huntington beach with hb skinheads wanting to fight them. 4. finding themselves in a small nightclub with mike ness from social distortion giving them lessons about life. 5. avoiding parts of santa ana and the mexican mafia/ F- troop like the plague. just some thoughts.
