Of all the pics that travel around the internet everyday, I'd have to say this is probably the most famous of them all, but then again, I could be wrong.

I've gotta say the kitten one is the most famous, I first saw it years ago, during the AOL 2.0 era and have seen it passed around thousands of times since then.

Man the shark one really gets me. Everyone thinks it's so damned real. My GF's stepdad had it set as his wallpaper with a description claiming it was the "Picture of the Year" for some website. They had a long drawn out explanation of where the copter was, what kind of shark it was, who the military guys were, etc. that was completely wrong. The first thing I do when I see a crazy picture on the Internet is head over to Snopes. Everyone else should too!

At my doctor's office they have the shark picture on the wall to look at while they're drawing blood.

Goatse is from a website which you can find with google, and the photo is of a man with his fingers in his anus, spreading it out as a porn star would to her vagina and showing all the pink and red insides.
It's not a pretty picture, but it's the human body, so I don't get why [the admins] dislike it. Tubgirl on the other hand...

The cat picture and the squirrel picture seem to be the most popular, from what I've seen.

We don't like it because it's beyond the level of grossness we want to allow here on TFP. Most people are repulsed by it, and we agree that there's no reason for it to be posted here.

Yeah, well. Personally, I find it just as gross as a vaginal spread.

Well that definitely sounds like something I never ever want to see during the remainder of my time here on earth and I would quickly poke my eyes out if I ever thought I was for but a moment. I feel fortunate now that I know nothing of this Goatse picture.

Thank God it didn't show up. Depends what type of vaginal spread you're talking about. If you mean when a girl uses two fingers to open her vagina, then I disagree. But on the other hand, if you've seen a vaginal spread that is as vile as goatse, I not only feel very sorry for you, but will pray that I never see anything like that in my lifetime.

The discussion is 'famous', not 'funny'. Although they are usually the same.

Basically any picture shown on a place like EBaums World, or any other College Humor site are the most known pictures on the internet. It seems to me.

My vote would go out to the Cliche Kitten or the Squirrel with Huge Nutsack, basically because other than being here, and on-line comics sites, I'm at Fark... Looking at Squirrel with Huge Nutsack.

Oh, and for that first picture with the Helicopter and the Shark, they even have that picture on the Navy Seals official website, symbolizing the danger you can get into. (They know its fake.)

Gosh, I guess I don't get around much. I've seent the Twin tower photo, and the fark photos. Haven't seen the first one at all. I need to get out more...
