Song Intros
This is a copy of a quiz (slightly modified) that I posted in an unrelated forum. I thought I'd give you guys a shot at it. Over there, we keep score by submitting guesses via private message. I don't think that would work well here, so credit is given only to the first to correctly guess by posting to this thread.
- Below are ten distinctive, non-musical song intros to ten popular songs. Identify the original artist and title. Wav files are 8 bit stereo and total 7mb collectively. If you prefer, you can download all of the clips in higher-quality mp3 format here (954kb) Clip 01 Def Leppard - Rock of Ages (redlemon) - Clip 02 Bryan Adams - Fits Ya Good - Clip 03 Poison - Every Rose Has its Thorn - Clip 04 Led Zeppelin - The Ocean (flyman) - Clip 05 Mr. Big - To Be With You - Clip 06 Shania Twain - (If You're Not in it For Love) I'm Outta Here! - Clip 07 Peter Gabriel - Big Time (redlemon) - Clip 08 Motley Crue - Girls, Girls, Girls (vermin) - Clip 09 Humble Pie - Thirty Days in the Hole (vermin) - Clip 10 Van Halen - Finish What Ya Started Last edited by Grey; 10-28-2004 at 09:48 PM.. |

clip01 : The Offspring - Come Out And Play
clip03: Jeff Buckley - Haleluya (sp?) hope at least one is correct... EDIT FROM THE EDIT: Removed an edit where I changed "Come Out And Play " to "Pretty Fly", but at the same time RedLemon told me it a sample. guess you're right, redlemon.

Amerika by Franz Kafka “As Karl Rossman, a poor boy of sixteen who had been packed off to America by his parents because a servant girl had seduced him and got herself a child by him, stood on the liner slowly entering the harbour of New York, a sudden burst of sunshine seemed to illumine the Statue of Liberty, so that he saw it in a new light, although he had sighted it long before. The arm with the sword rose up as if newly stretched aloft, and round the figure blew the free winds of heaven.” Last edited by T.U.B.; 10-22-2004 at 11:02 AM.. |

For those who downloaded the zip file with the mp3s, which have the decade and genre in the ID3 tag...
#5 is not from the 80's. It's actually from 1991. Sorry 'bout that. Quote:
