god i love the snow, theres almost enough to snowboard here in Midland ON
|
Winter Rules!! Last week I watched as it snowed all over the place in the Rockies made a few calls and we were on for skiing on Saturday. Saturday morning comes and I'm treated to a snow report of 35cms overnight up at Sunshine!! We were off and were able to make it to the hill for opening. It was still snowing hard, but that soon blew off and we were left with over a foot of fresh snow and clear blue skies. Doesn't get much better than that.
It's hard to share the joy though, explaining a great powder day to someone that's never had one is kinda like explaining sex to a virgin... they just don't get it. Oh well, I'm happy to just sit here with my shit eating grin and look forward to the next ski day which just so happens to be this weekend. :D |
dude. shudder from my toes to my ears. Wish I coulda been there.
There was plenty of base on the hill then? There's almost nothing worse on a powder day than rocks just below the surface. Hopefully i'll be headed out skiing next thursday to louise or somewhere. Holiday traffic here i come! (though it's pretty quiet when you leave at 3) |

It's still early though so you gotta be ready to jump over the unexpected rock. ;) Have fun on the hills next week. Haven't been to Louise yet but I've been hearing some good reports from there. The rain didn't effect Louise or Sunshine, so they'd probably be your best bets. |
ah friggn snow!

amen.
I'm off to tignes on 2nd january and to fernie for 3 weeks in march. Bring it on. |
