We will be having a large family gathering in cabbagetown (my parents house) with probably 30 - 40 people. Turkey with all the trimmings (mashed potatoes, corn, carrots, beets, stuffing) but also chinese dishes like scallops, lobster with black bean sauce, rice, mustard greens, lots and lots of shrimp, and desserts (sweet bao, pumpkin pies, apple pies) yumm i cant wait.... |

Just bought a new house, so painting and closing the pool all weekend. We live about 5,000 km's from any of our family, so my wife and daughters and I are spending a nice quiet Thanksgiving dinner at home with just us. Can't wait!

Came all the way home for a dinner, ended up fighting with family. Ahh, about what i expected. Reminds me one of the reasons i moved away and why I don't plan on returning until Christmas.
Hope your festivities are great, hope the turkey is juicy and hope the pie is covered in whipped cream *drool* I stay for the food

I live in the US now, but I still celebrate canadian thanksgiving !
I'm in the middle of cooking my our thanksgiving dinner right now. Turkey, cornbread stuffing (made from scratch), acorn squash, sweet potatos, brussel sprouts and beans. Rolls, and homemade butter of course, too. I also made 2 pumpkin pies. I can't wait!

Ahhh,, back at work... ate too much.... I can barely squeeze into my tights!! lol. Ended up having two dinners one at my sisters, and one at my boyfriend's family. I ate 6 desserts (3 at each place)
My mom ended up drinking too much, and backing over my sister's fence, so I had to drive her home. Us asians can't handle the liquor as well as others!! |
