Skype is a peer-to-peer telephony system. There is a client for Windows, Mac OSX, and even Linux. If you're interested, download it at

and call me up! My nickname on Skype is slimsam1.

It works unusually well for this type of program, and I think it would be a kick to talk to a fellow TFProject-er.

No. There's no way it could bill you if you don't want it to...

It never even asked me for my name or phone number, which are both optional fields in the user profile.

I am pretty certain that there is no catch to it, and there is no spyware as far as I can tell.

They make money off the pc to phone calling, which you pay for in advance if you want it. It's pressure-free concerning that.
