I heard somewhere that he did not affect this "dumb southern" routine until he ran for president. I believe it was a guest on the Dennis Miller show who said it. Wish I could remember the guy's name. He's followed Bush's career and said that if you went back and watched when he ran for governor it was a totally different person. Apparently the vast majority of the U.S. are morons who'e level he has to lower himself to and Texans are smart. I offer Dr. Phil McGraw in opposition to this belief.
I find this display simply of stupidity simply ridiculous. Sorry for the rant - I just really can't stand this guy and hate myself for not voting last time (although Gore did win Pennsylvania so it was OK).
