gynecologist/Obstetrician. Does anyone know what he meant by that? Didn't sound like one of his typical fumbles or mispronunciations. If it wasn't an accident, then what the hell? I guess maybe he was talking about giving loving care to children and new mothers or something. I don't get it.

too many ob-gyns can't practice their love.
What is he trying to say? The ob-gyns are sitting in their offices, doing nothing but reading Reader's Digest, going broke because they can't perform procedures on people? I guess I need to hear this in context... but I'm sure it still'd be dumb. I remember thinking "what the hell is he talking about" when he started talking about steroids in his State of the Union speech. That was such an odd thing to talk about... Next he's going to propose that the fortunes in fortune cookies be written in Spanish and "Canadian" so new citizens from the south and north will feel at home here in the USA. |

This makes me so sad.
When Leo Gorcey did this in the Bowery Boys movies, I used to laugh my ass off. It was so funny how he would say stupid things, never quite understanding that what he was saying was not what he thought. Now that I've watched georgie doing this as the leader of America, well, I wish I was 5 again. Can we have Bill Clinton back?

You are are acting very dumb.
It's very obvious what he meant, so he slipped a bit....or maybe he didn't. What he actually said makes perfect sense if the person being spoken to isn't a pervert who gets his rocks off making things what they aren't. I'm sorry, it needed to be said. You guys are acting retarded. P.S. "Can we have Clinton back?"....Are you kidding? "I smoked, but I didn't inhale" or how about this one "depends on what your definition of "sexual relations" is." Clinton was the king of all idiots, AND he was one of the worst Presidents in American History, save Carter, of course. |

It is NOT obvious what he meant to say. We're beyond the "almost right word" type of mistake. Besides what else I think of this guy, he's got to be the worst public speaking president I've ever seen.
It's also bullshit to say the listener would have to be a pervert to think something off colour about that statement. When someone is talking about vaginas, and the profession of inspecting them, and you say "practice their love with women" it's almost impossible to not take a fucked up sexual meaning from that. It's such a mis-speak that figuring out what he DID mean is an exercise in futility. Also, given the kind of high stakes converstations the president gets into, I don't think you want one that will accidently say some stupid shit to another country's leader. Not everyone is so willing to suck off GW and excuse his mistakes. If Kennedy had been so unable to speak, the Cuban Missle Crisis would have ended up being a war. I can't belive this man is somehow representing me. Where have our great leaders gone?

I have a great sense of humor...but I do not believe that some of these people in this thread are just joking around. Using this forum for blatantly attacking President Bush seems like the wrong idea to me, not the person who defends him against a stupid misinterpretation of his speech. I love you guys, I just think that some of the above comments were a little "too far" for Tilted Nonsense. |

This thread is begging for this:
Fortunate Son Creedence Clearwater Revival Some folks are born made to wave the flag, ooh, they're red, white and blue. And when the band plays "Hail To The Chief", oh, they point the cannon at you, Lord, It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no, Some folks are born silver spoon in hand, Lord, don't they help themselves, oh. But when the taxman come to the door, Lord, the house look a like a rummage sale, yes, It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son. It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no. Yeh, some folks inherit star spangled eyes, ooh, they send you down to war, Lord, And when you ask them, how much should we give, oh, they only answer, more, more, more, yoh, It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no military son, It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no no no, It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate son, no no no,
