Great story.. and yeah, it's a fake. Chaser is like The Onion, sorta.. but down under ;)

They have (or had) a show called CNNNN (Chaser Nonstop News Network Now or something similar). It was hilarious.. they took the piss outta CNN/MSNBC type shows perfectly... you'd have to watch each episode twice.. once to watch the actual episode, and once to read all the funny stuff they have scrolling in the "breaking news" line that seems to be so common now-a-days.

This story again? I'm having 1999 flashbacks.

back when the boys from the Chaser were editing Honi Soit (the Sydney Uni newspaper), the Anna Wood/Ecstasy story was all over the news... Pretty girl killed by new killer drug... etc...

Firth ran the headline, "Anna Wood, would you?"... still one of my fav headlines of all time.

Yeah! Stuck up celebrities. Who does she think she is, denying a dying child. Of course, I haven't been feeling all that well lately either, and could use some overrated celebrity-type oral attention too.
