I love the ocean...why don't I live closer? - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I wish the ocean where closer to me. I love the sound, the motion, the smell of the big water. I am stuck in Wisconsin and all I have is the "Great Lakes". What a bummer for me. ANy suggestions? Other than, move to the ocean?

get in boat on those great lakes?

when i visit my family in indiana i have fun in brother's boat on the ohio river.

had fun on the lake where my dad had a weekend cabin when i was a kid.

but yeah... you can't beat a good ocean. love my pacific. yeah. it's mine!

mate, lakes are shit.
i hate swimming in anything that doesn't have a surf... and that includes flat shitty beaches like the ones i visited in Northern Bali.

for your condition, i diagnose a relocation to the seaside... there is no substitute.

Hence my nickname, you could only guess. I live only 2 1/2 hrs. away from the ocean, only 15 minutes from Puget Sound. It is glorious to wake up to the sound of waves- we got to the ocean every labor day weekend, and really need to go more often. Someday I will be able to walk out to it.

You moving to California? They're our enemies you know, they took (or tried to take) the title of "The Dairy State" from us....

'course, it's not like that's a huge prize.. but dammit.. it's a Wisconsin title!

Ya...isnt that stupid? I grew up on a dairy farm and I can almost gaurantee that most people in LA have never seen a cow. But hey......who am I to judge?
