I love the ocean...why don't I live closer?
I wish the ocean where closer to me. I love the sound, the motion, the smell of the big water. I am stuck in Wisconsin and all I have is the "Great Lakes". What a bummer for me. ANy suggestions? Other than, move to the ocean?

go there and tune into what the river has got to say. either that or......move near the ocean....hehehe |
get in boat on those great lakes?
when i visit my family in indiana i have fun in brother's boat on the ohio river. had fun on the lake where my dad had a weekend cabin when i was a kid. but yeah... you can't beat a good ocean. love my pacific. yeah. it's mine! :D hehe sometimes y'just hafta make do with & be grateful for what ya got. or uh.. move! |
mate, lakes are shit.
i hate swimming in anything that doesn't have a surf... and that includes flat shitty beaches like the ones i visited in Northern Bali. for your condition, i diagnose a relocation to the seaside... there is no substitute. |

Hence my nickname, you could only guess. I live only 2 1/2 hrs. away from the ocean, only 15 minutes from Puget Sound. It is glorious to wake up to the sound of waves- we got to the ocean every labor day weekend, and really need to go more often. Someday I will be able to walk out to it.
