Would Chretien remaining Liberal leader have affected your vote?
I would be voting Liberal if Chretien were still leader, I wasn't sure about him during his initial terms, but the directions he took the country were a vast improvement over those of previous administrations. It is a shame that he isn't running, imo, and my vote has changed to NDP as a result.

I'm a bit of the opposite. If Chretien would have turned the party over to Martin when he was supposed to (end of second term) then there's a possibility I would vote Liberal.
Unfortunately that didn't happen, and neither will the vote for the Liberal party.

I would not vote for the Reform party no matter what they call themselves. Those guys are crazy.
I'm voting Liberal, a few million $$ here and there is easier for me to stomach than a total loss of personal freedoms and Canadian identity.

Already voted. Wasn't Liberal. They need the billions they put aside for golden handshakes come Monday night.

The thing that got me was how Martin and his cronies ousted Chretien from office. It doesn't matter what you thought of Jean Chretien, this was a man who put over 40 years of his life serving his country. At least let the man leave with some dignity.
With that said, I probably wouldn't vote Liberal just because of Jean Chretien. He was a great Prime Minister, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. I just really wish Paul Martin wasn't the guy who replaced him. Hell, even Shiella Copps would have been better.

Chretien, the great prime minister that cancelled a helicopter contract that cost taxpayers 500 million dollars out of political spite. Go Liberals.
