First up.

A brief history of "The Great Southern Land".




Native Australians (Aborigines) entered the continent from Southeast Asia more than fifty thousand years ago.

Some got lost and ended up in Canberra.

Everyone else settled throughout the country and remained isolated from the rest of the world until the first European explorers,the Dutch, arrived in the 17th century.

The Dutch did not settle.It was all too hard.


The "Geckos" scared the Womenfolk.

But in 1770 Britain's captain Cook

explored the East coast and in 1788 the first British settlement was established.




They came,they saw,they concreted.

Not bad for a bunch of convicts.




The federal capital was established in Canberra in 1927.
It erupted in controversy however in 1975 when our Man.

A few "Tryhards" then entered politics but had to revert back to convict status.

Politics aside:
Australia is a prosperous country that for a time rode on the sheep's back by exporting wool.


Unlike New Zealand,we had a better use for it.

Another big export is wine and Aussies love their piss.(Especially "Shassa" and "Darline" whilst on holidays).
