Averett 06-09-2004 07:12 AM

I'm going to Adopt a Canadian city. Just pick a random city on a map and post what's there :D

Opened up a map of Canada online, clicked randomly and got Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, which is actually my favorita Canadian place. Never been there though.. lets see what I find!

Shit, there's a giant moose! I've gotta go there :D
http://www.ctv.ca/generic/staticPage.../MooseJaw3.jpg

And theres the Snow Birds, which I guess are like Blue Angels.

And theres some tunnels that Al Capone had built? Eh, I dunno either.

The last time i was in surrey I was catching a bus through it to get to white rock, and the entire way there these four kids were talking about last nights acid trip

good for a laugh anyway

I also love how when people move to surrey, they always try to justify it to their friends... "Im moving to a NICE part of Surrey... really"

Man, it HAS to be said Floyd, you made me nostalgic. I Miss hanging out at the big peach on the way to the Casino, and then the night at the Blue Mule. My wife and I spent 5 years in Penticton, as soon as we're done the college gig up here, we're moving right the hell back.

Anyways, the city of my birth, and where I live now.

I can't find any pictures as of yet, but Camp X, aka Intrepid Park is in my city. In case some of you don't know, Camp X is where Ian Flemming, creator of James Bond, was stationed as a secret agent.

Jam 07-13-2004 01:46 AM

I was in penticton... have they heard of famous players  I watched shrek 2 in thier dump of a theater and a bunch of probably 12 year old kids... "snuck in", I say that in quotation marks because... the movie was jsut starting, its dark in thier... the one who had actually paid, opened the door to let his friends sneak in, the door is right niext to the little screen, and it was very bright outside... granted that little craphead just blinded me and the rest of the theater... then they decided to sit next to me... I was about ready to beat the shit out of this gang of 12 year olds that wouldnt shut up when the one kid sneezed on my leg... lucky for them they got kicked out almost immediately after because I was going to go ogre style on them

I'm in Mississauga as well. The city hall actually looks good in that picture. Otherwise I think it looks like a prison.

I'm from and live in Halifax, one of the best cities in Canada for sure... highest alcohol establishment to person ratio in North America!

Loup 07-14-2004 08:19 AM

When I am home from school (Ottawa) the most famous landmark is Parliament Hill - I took this picture last year from Jacques Cartier Park.
http://img42.photobucket.com/albums/...ower-Small.gif

When I am at school (Montreal) there are so many kick ass places/things/events - One being Old Montreal which I visited last week and took this picture of Habitat '67.
