I like VB because it's cheap and i'm a starving uni student. Besides, ALL beer tastes the same to me.

1. Cascade Pale Ale
2. Cascade Stout (if it can be classified as a beer)
3. Coopers Pale Ale

I heard that the Fosters that is sold overseas is the same beer that is sold as Crown Lager in Australia (which explains why it is so popular over there!) - Crown is definitely up there with the best. I tried a few Fosters overseas recently but it was hard to tell after drinking all that Heineken (which is sold in more places than Coca Cola is in Europe!) Fosters is also on tap overseas which puts it in a whole new kettle of fish.

I have to agree that Tooheys Extra Dry is a good drop...far better than Carlton Cold, but the rest of the Tooheys range should stay in NZ.

As far as tap beer goes, you cannot go past Carlton Draught. But put it in a bottle and it tastes like shit!

Coopers Pale Ale is also a fine brew, and Cascade, but Hahn Premium, cannot justify paying the same price as a Crownie for one of those!

Crownies have a certain strength about them that the other premium beers dont...its like dressing a VB up in suit! And there is nothing wrong with that!

I would agree if you swapped crown and hahn around
Crown is overrated, imho.

In general, I would just about drink anything. I also brew stuff myself, which is also pretty good.
