The Two Towers made mincemeat out Potter's second installment in a 19-1 near whitewash. The previously simmering cauldron has been turned up to full bubble for the first quarter final. From sixteen movies only eight remain to fight it out for the four semi-final berths. Vote.................. NOW! having read both books I have to go with Lord of the Rings. The first Harry Potter book was drek that I read in two hours and never looked at again while the LOTR has much more substance to it. Peter Jackson did try to capture the feel of the book and did at least a passable job overall.
Have seen the LOTR film but not planning on watching anything Harry Potter or reading anymore of the books.

I think the Potter movies are better than the first two LOTR movies. Return of the King was easily the best. I'm going with Potter because I found half of Two Towers boring as hell. PS: what's the deal with pitting shitty movies against good movies? Or decent movies versus classics? It seems a bit unfair. Independence day is raw shit, and Star Wars is a classic. Return of the King is the best of the trilogy...putting it against Phantom Menace really isn't fair since the third movie isn't out yet. Most people hated Phantom Menace, while Return of the King ended up being movie of the year to most people. It had no chance! -Lasereth

Just adding my input from the one film of the two that I have seen. *wish I could say the same for Titanic, The Matrix Reloaded, and Forrest Gump
