I'd say CORN, but CORN can't jump.

Is this like a trick question where the answer is something that can't jump, just like the Washington Monument, an inanimate object, can't jump? i.e. "can jump as high as the Washington Monument"

They have eyes... "grow in ears"... And as the monument can't jump, nor can they...

I wouldn't call it a trick question, Booray as sometimes these word plays cause one to think.

The answer would be a dead *blank* substituting the critter or being of your choice which had both eyes and ears.
