I'm not sure how that works at the North pole. Walk 10 miles north when you're already at the north pole...?
Now if you start 10 miles south of the north pole it works (kinda): Walk 10 miles North (now you're at the N. Pole). Walk 10 miles East (which way is east when you're at the north pole? walk in a circle) Walk 10 miles South. So I guess there's an infinite number of places this will work all of them 10 miles south of the north pole.

He's COULD be very close to the north pole, He starts 10 miles south of where the earth has a circumference of 1, 2, 5, or 10 miles.
This answer IS correct, but it may not be what you're looking for.
