Canaries have never been sent into space to study their behavior under zero gravity. Why?

yea they cant fly, but im not sure thats the answer. Their behaviour could still be valuable if they cant fly, for much the same reason they were in mines. I would guess because without gravity they die for some reason?

A canary in zero gravity would have no way of drinking water. The only way to drink water in space is through suction (a straw).

Kudos to fhqwhgads! Canaries, like all birds, depend upon gravity to swallow.

It was before the chickens hatched. They are being studied for what that did to them now that they are hatched.
