This fictional character in known by more than half the population in the world. in the stories in which the character makes an appearance, the character is almost always happy and is known for spreading joy to others. In the stories, there is often a problem that others have, and the character solves it. However, there have been a few incidences where real people have, in anger, mutilated and destroyed representations of this character. Who is it?

1. i never see jesus smiling, so I assume he wasn't that happy. besides, a lot of people don't think he's a fictional character.

2. the only time i've seen anyone destroy a santa claus in anger was when they were drunk.

3. mickey mouse figures have been destroyed and mutilated in anger? perhaps, but representations of the one i'm thinking about have been destroyed and mutilated much more publically.

Ronald McDonald. Half the population knows him. He makes people happy by giving them burgers, and solves their problem of being hungry. People destroy his likeness all the time when they rip through McDonalds bags to get to their food.

I don't think that's right, but what the hell.
