The 30 Second Mystery 62 - Why?
 

There are four categories: Who, What, Where and Why. Some will be easy, some not. I have as many as six clues to help you along, which I'll supply as needed.

Please limit yourself to one guess, and another guess for each clue I supply. No questions asking for help or hints are allowed. Partially correct answers won't be acknowledged.

Wild guesses and comments are fine. In fact, they can add to the mystery and are fun to read. Be precise when guessing.

The Case:
A man from Chicago deliberately puts on shorts and a tee shirt, then goes outside in the middle of the winter and walks along a lake. The wind is blowing and it's 20 degrees outside, but the man is delighted he's not bundled up like the rest of the residents of Chicago.

The Mystery:
Why is the man able to tolerate the weather, and what is he doing?

Because it's 20 degrees celcius, or 68 degrees fahrenheit, and he's on vacation somewhere south of Chicago.

He's able to tolerate the weather because it's warm where he is, as he's on vacation.

And if I'm wrong... all together...

Son of a...

He tolerates for it is the reason why he is out there, he is going to swim in the lake, as he is a (might've screwed the title, those people that go swimming during the winter) Polar Bear.

Naw. Those whackos are naked. Shorts and a T-shirt would be cheating :D
