The 30 Second Mystery 59 - Where?
 

There are four categories: Who, What, Where and Why. Some will be easy, some not. I have as many as six clues to help you along, which I'll supply as needed.

Please limit yourself to one guess, and another guess for each clue I supply. No questions asking for help or hints are allowed. Partially correct answers won't be acknowledged.

Wild guesses and comments are fine. In fact, they can add to the mystery and are fun to read. Be precise when guessing.

The Case:
Julio is an American citizen born in 1956. He has never been out of the country, nor has he ever entered a single US state.

The Mystery:
Where does Julio live and what two states are closest to his home?

Washington, DC, closest states are Virginia and Maryland

Alternative answer (if allows)

Puerto Rico, and the closest states are Florida and Georgia

Umm. I got nothin.

Panama. Texas and Florida.

Ooh, here's another one:

American Samoa. Closest states are Hawaii and California.

When you get into protectorates, it gets a little fuzzy

Before 1952 (When Puerto Rico's constituion was ratified) it could have been the US Virgin Islands (1927) or Samoa (1929).

Well good gravy, I keep finding these threads about 15 min after they're posted, and for 95% of them, I've known the answer, yet I'm beat like a foster kid caught on a wireless camera.
