help with a riddle
 

i guess this could go in general discussion it is a discussion about a topic

someone sent me the following any suggestions on the answer, im totally stumped.

A wife and husband were fighting and the husband stabbed the wife. He left. Before she died seh wrote a four letter word on the wall. Two years later a cop arrested the husband. What did the wife write? and How did the cop know it was the husband?

golly thats hard. please find solution soon or I wont sleep lol

trust me im trying more info on it, it is for a kids school extra credit or something so nothing about writing on the wall in semen etc. other than that im in the same boat as you are i have no farking clues

is that the exact wording? cuz googling it doesnt come up with anything.

wording is exact to the best of my knowledge the obvious misspelloing of the word she but its all spelled correctly, i cant type it should read she not seh

It would seem to me that there could be a dozen or more answers which would work... of course, I don't know any of them. :)

Maybe the husbands name is a 4 letter word like bill or Matt. Sounds to obvious and doesnt necessarily mean he is the killer cause his name in on the wall. But its what id do.

Maybe she had AIDS, and it took 2 years for the husand to develop the disease?

You so sure MontanaXVI? If she was dying, why would she spend the time writing a four letter HYMN, instead of just writing a three letter HIM?

Perhaps she wrote CABO to point the cops in the direction of where the husband ran off to. I am not giving up on this one.....the answer shouldn't be that obscure.

It can't be his name, since that has nothing to do with two years, and its not conclusive its him, neither is HYMN.

presumably the answer has to be based on 2 years and 100% thats it was the husband..

given that, i cant think of anything else :)

I've heard this one before, and it's really maddening that I can't remember the answer.

She wrote "cake". The husband getting arrested 2 years later is just an unrelated event.

I think it's odd that if she had the energy and the time to find something to write with. That she didn't call 911 for help. But that's me

There has to be more to the riddle then just that. But here are a few possablities

1, The cop didn't know about the murder, But arrested the husband on a diffrent charge.

2. they didn't find the body untill two years after she died, and she wrote his name.

3, She wrote his name in something that faded out, But resurfaced two years later (like a stain that fades out, But keeps returning)

that actually sounds right... i vaguely remember this riddle before, and this might be the answer. or might have been the answer to something else.

i'm guess i dont undestand why cake tells the cop it was him ?
what did i miss ?

It does'nt as the arrest of the husband is an unrelated event.. This isnt much of a riddle. :hmm:

She wrote "Asia" That's where the husband went and he returned 2 years later and the cops were waiting at the airport for him. I dunno, just a guess :)

She wrote FUCK , because getting stabbed hurts a lot.

Edit: Heh, I just thought of this. What if getting "stabbed" meant they had sex before she died, (like make-up sex or something), and when the police saw the word, they assumed she meant whoever she had sex with killed her, and then naturally assumed it was her husband.

Not sure if you guys are reading this post right but its a goddamn riddle and its for school. So most likely its going to be clever...lets not debate why she wrote whatever as if this was Monty Python and the Holy Grail and that guy just wrote awhhhhhhh...okay.

How did the cop know it was the husband? Because it said so on his ID. so there :p And the wife wrote "it wa" on the walls.
She meant to write it was my husband who killed me, but she died after 4 letters

This is a completely bizarre riddle. It's been bothering me for days. I usually don't have this much trouble with these things.

The husband was arrested two years later - assumedly in an unrelated incident. It's supposition that he confessed?

I agree, I'd love to hear the answer to this, it's driving me nuts.

My first thought also was "Will" because it may really take that long for it to be cashed out.
I particularly like the "AIDS" answer though.
Did you guys ever think about the possibility that this riddle just exists to annoy people?

I think she wrote the word "Dumb" which is what this riddle is.

Did you ever find out what the "official" answer is???
