Chocolate Milk

I wasn't sure how well this would fit in Tilted Humor, so I posted it here instead.

There are two penguins on an ice floe, drifting north into warmer waters. These penguins are very fond of each other, but they don't speak English very well. Suddenly, with a terrific crack, the ice floe splits in half, right between the penguins. As they begin drifting apart, one penguin sadly waves a flipper and calls out, "Chocolate milk!"

Am I the only one who's head this just totally went over?

bernadette 11-19-2003 04:01 PM

Since I don't get it either, I'll post this:

Today is my stupid day.
Catch me tomorrow.

Batman976 11-19-2003 04:16 PM

These are the responses I figured I would get. That's why I decided it wasn't appropriate for Tilted Humor. I, however, think it's hilarious.

glytch 11-19-2003 05:24 PM

So.....care to explain it to those of us who have no idea about it?

paddyjoe 11-19-2003 07:03 PM

The part I'm curious about, if these penguins didn't speak english so well, what exactly WAS there first language?

Giant Hamburger 11-19-2003 07:23 PM

Hail Batman976!

This is a commentary on industrial man's tragic impact on the fragile life cycle of the natural world.

Brilliant!

Batman976 11-19-2003 08:47 PM

For all of you penguin lovers and chocolate milk lovers alike:

This joke can mean whatever you want it to mean. It can even be a commentary on industrial man's tragic impact on the fragile life cycle of the natural world! The true meaning of the joke is irrelevant. It's like one of those unnecessarily long jokes with an incredibly anti-climatic punchline. The real fun comes in watching the audience leaving with blanks stares on their faces or trying desperately to find the joke.

I'm sorry I used you all for my own twisted humor. Please forgive me.

Chocolate milk,
Batman

sillygirl 11-19-2003 11:31 PM

I think I enjoy your twisted humor! Although.... there was definitely a blank and confused look on my face for a few minutes after reading your joke...

GuttersnipeXL 11-20-2003 07:47 AM

Ha! a classic!! Hadn't heard that one in awhile!!!

Batman976 11-20-2003 08:24 AM

It's really a joke that gets better with time, too. Everybody should start telling their friends. The more you tell it, the more you appreciate it.

wannabenakid247 11-20-2003 08:30 AM

Thats a bit like this other joke i heard once:

There are two lesbians in the bath and one of them says to the other 'pass the soap' and the other one says ' who do you think i am a typewriter?'

I spent ages trying to work it out.

torgone 11-20-2003 09:24 AM

????

This thread is definitely in the right forum.

numist 11-20-2003 09:32 AM

So there are these two submarines sitting in a tree, knitting. A pig flies by with a stick in its mouth.
Next day: Two submarines sitting in a tree, knitting. Pig flies by with a stick in its amouth.
Third day: Same subs, same tree, both knitting. Pig flies by with a stick in its mouth. One sub turns to the other and says, "Must be building a nest."

It's a moron koan.

splck 11-29-2003 02:40 PM

hehe...typewriter..

Batman976 11-29-2003 02:54 PM

Ohh, that submarine one is good. I'm going to have to remember to tell it to a friend of mine.

Thanks for ruining the joke for me. I thought it was a reference to the chocolate milk stains on the first penguin's sleeper jammies. A stain all too familiar to the likes of Nonsense Forum users.

meepa 12-01-2003 05:54 PM

Once in HS, this girl was drinking from one of those juice boxes that are usually reserved for little kids. Well they always have these really cheesy jokes on them, but one day it was this:

How can you tell a furby from an elephant?

...

A furby doesn't look like an elephant!

For some reason this got me and all my friends laughing so hard and uncontrollably that we got kicked out for the day

Loup 01-15-2004 09:08 AM

Any new discussion on this joke?

http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/e6a92...epsBAB4VW.MGls

Batman976 01-15-2004 09:54 AM

I still think it's hilarious. It's been a while since I've told it though. Maybe I just need some new friends to tell it to.

We need more jokes about penguins and submarines!

Munku 01-16-2004 10:37 AM

Ok so there's a penguin and a submarine, and they are eating blueberries. And then a monkey comes, and he's like WTF?!?! Then the penguin is like yo man, it's all good.
