How can I take someone seriously when they botch up a basic precept of scientific nomenclature?!? (joke)


When dealing with binomial nomenclature, the genus is capitalized and the species is not. Also, quotes are not appropriate but underline or italics are. With these rules in mind, the slug-like eyelash mite would then be called Demodex folliculorum.
