Some of these drugs are fictional and some are not. Try to figure out which are which.

Since this is a pathetic excuse for a movie poll... try to discriminate the drug from the movie. In other words, ignore whether or not you like a movie and just pick what you feel. If you haven't seen all these movies then just pick one and don't care. This is a nonsense poll after all.

its ok, astrocloud, the book was far far better than any movie, there was too much in the book, any decent movie representation of Dune would need to be at least 6 hours long... I spent a quarter in a high school class studying the books and the sequels/prequels.. amazing stuff, really

as far as this threads choices go ill go with alcohol. shouldda used moulin rouge for the absinth and yes as said before I dont understand why theres no fear and loathing on here! also no Requim For A Dream or Clockwork Orange, tisk tisk...

Personally I wanted to choose Valkyr from the Max Payne Video game but It's not a choice.

So I chose Flux Capacitor because It lets you travel through time, with few side effects.

I would have gone alochol in any straight up poll of pick your drug, but I have done alcohol a la Animal House, and I don't want to go back there any time soon. Absinthe might be intersting, but the flavor is somewhat limiting.

Where's Altirian Panther Sweat from the Slippery Jim DiGriz books or Pan Galagtic Gargle Blasters from HHGTTG ? Or Longbottom leaf from LOTR? Or Hurtloam? Or, (from the fan man), a preparation of mango leaves and organic carrot tops: a mild stimulant to help one to see the iguanas that live in one's eyes.

I picked the flux capacitor. Not sure where I'd put it, but it sounds fun.

Yeah the flux comes with a kick ass car. Not everyone loved the movie... but I bet they would still like to drive that car. Let's hear it for the flux. (Some may argue that the Tartus from Dr. Who is a better time travel mechanism; others argue that the Way Back machine from Peabody's Improbable History is cooler; but nothing compares to the style and sophistication of the Flux Capacitor ala Delorean.)

I chose spice. Telepathy, immortality, and having the whites of your eyes turn blue? Count me in!

I chose spice - came up a complete blank on two book titles for substitution. One was a meme generator that completely rewrote your mental perceptions and communication ability, and the other was a nanobot soup transfered by sweat that rewrote your dna to enable lots of cool stuff.

I avoid the Stephen R. Donaldson morph stuff though.

Tek would have been a neat addition. It's from the William Shatner [coughghostwriter cough] Tek books. It's a virtual reality drug that creates the completely realistic full sensation VR simulation of whatever fantasy you wish. Imagine the Matrix, except you get to program the scenario.

I wonder what the Fremen would choose? ;)
