Is this such a dirty thing to do? It is basically dirt and stuff that is filtered out of the air, not too much different from picking dirt out from anywhere else on your body, like maybe a fingernail.

i admit i clean house a bit, although don't feel safe or comfortable to do it in front of others. I also wash my hands after, cause it is dirt!
Same with blowing my nose, i don't feel comfortable doing it in front of people, cause it sounds awful, somtimes like your lung is gonna come out of your nostril. So i always excuse myself, i don't really like when people just yank out tissues and snort their guts out whilst still maintaing a conversation.

anyway, just a quick poll about it.

Yea, i think it's sick to see a person picking his nose in public...but in restrooms and in private it's fine....

I mean, how can you live w/o picking ur nose?

I used to eat my boggers a lot when I was a kid-now I just pick my nose privately with kleenex. Ive seen some people pick with kleenex infront of me(strangers or not), and it doesnt really bother me. Ive pissed off some girls in the loo and they were disgusted...well at least I used a kleenex :P. Yeesh..maybe I should ask next time.."is it ok if I empty out my nose in the same vicinity of you?"

i just take a deep breath....hold my finger on one nostril and shoot the snot outta the other side.

Private picker. I don't like to incovenience others with them seeing me pick my nose. Cause lets face it...even though we know we all do it and it isn't pretty so I can understand why people wouldn't wanna see that. If someone does it in front of me I don't get wildly disgusted though just kinda like..."Okay now go wash yer fingers!" funny but reading this post I now feel the urge to pick my nose. Isn't that a bit odd?
