Fight For Your Right
Beastie Boys Kick it! You wake up late for school man you don't wanna go You ask you mom, "Please?" but she still says, "No!" You missed two classes and no homework But your teacher preaches class like you're some kind of jerk You gotta fight for your right to party You pops caught you smoking and he said, "No way!" That hypocrite smokes two packs a day Man, living at home is such a drag Now your mom threw away your best porno mag Bust it! [repeat chorus] Don't step out of this house if that's the clothes you're gonna wear I'll kick you out of my home if you don't cut that hair Your mom busted in and said, "What's that noise?" Aw, mom you're just jealous it's the Beastie Boys! [repeat chorus]

Cocaine
J. J. Cale If you wanna hang out you've got to take her out. Cocaine. If you wanna get down, down on the ground. Cocaine. She don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie; Cocaine. If you got bad news, you wanna kick them blues. Cocaine. When your day is done and you wanna run. Cocaine. Chorus If your thing is gone and you wanna ride on. Cocaine. Don't forget this fact, you can't get it back. Cocaine. Chorus Chorus

Drunken Lullabies
Flogging Molly Must it take a life for hatful eyes To glisten once again Five hundred years like Gelignite Have blown us all to hell What savior rests while on his cross we die Has the Shepard led his lambs astray to the bigot and the gun Must it take a life for hateful eyes To glisten once again Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess Singin' drunken lullabies I watch and stare as Rosin`s eyes Turn a darker shade of red And the bullet with this sniper lie In their bloody gutless cell Must we starve on crumbs from long ago Through these bars of men made steel Is it a great or little thing we fought Knelt the conscience blessed to kill Must it take a life for hateful eyes To glisten once again Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess Singin' drunken lullabies Ah, but maybe it`s the way you were taught Or maybe it`s the way we fought But a smile never grins without tears to begin For each kiss is a cry we all lost Though there is nothing left to gain But for the banshee that stole the grave Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess Singin' drunken lullabies I sit in and dwell on faces past Like memories seem to fade No colour left but black and white And soon will all turn grey But may these shadows rise to walk again With lessons truly learnt When the blossom flowers in each our hearts Shall beat a new found flame Must it take a life for hateful eyes To glisten once again Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess Singin' drunken lullabies

High Time
Grateful Dead You told me goodbye How was I to know You didn't mean goodbye You meant please don't let me go I was having a high time Living the good life Well I know The wheels are muddy Got a ton of hay Now listen here baby 'Cause I mean what I say I'm having a high time Living the good life Well I know I was losing time, I had nothing to do No-one to fight, I came to you Wheels broke down, leader won't draw The line is busted, the last one I saw Tomorrow comes trouble Tomorrow comes pain Now don't think too hard, baby 'Cause you know what I'm saying I could show you a high time Living the good life Don't be that way Nothing's for certain It could always go wrong Come in when it's raining Go on out when it's gone We could have us a high time Living the good life Well I know

Burn One Down let us burn one From end to end And pass it over To me my friend Burn it long, we'll burn it slow To light me up before i go If you don't like my fire Then don't come around Cause i'm gonna burn one down Yes i'm gonna burn one down My choice is what i choose to do And if i'm causing no harm It shouldn't bother you Your choice is who you choose to be And if your causin' no harm Then you're alright with me If you don't like my fire Then don't come around Cause i'm gonna burn one down Yes i'm gonna burn one down Herb the gift from the earth And what's from the earth Is of the greatest worth So before you knock it try it first You'll see it's a blessing And not a curse If you don't like my fire Then don't come around Cause i'm gonna burn one down |

Boulevard
Jackson Browne Down on the boulevard they take it hard They look at life with such disregard They say it can't be won The way the game is run But if you choose to stay You end up playing anyway It's okay-- The kid's in shock up and down the block The folks are home playing beat the clock Down at the golden cup They set the young ones up Under the neon light Selling day for night It's alright-- Nobody rides for free Nobody gets it like they want it to be Nobody hands you any guarantee Nobody The hearts are hard and the times are tough Down on the boulevard the night's enough And time passes slow Between the store front shadows and the street lights glow Everybody walks right by like they're safe or something They don't know-- Nobody knows you Nobody owes you nothin Nobody shows you what they're thinking Nobody baby Hey, hey, baby You got to watch the street, keep your feet And be on guard Make it pay baby It's only time on the boulevard

Leonard Cohen I was born in a beauty salon My father was a dresser of hair My mother was a girl you could call on When you called she was always there When you called she was always there When you called she was always there When you called she was always there When you called she was always there Ah but don't go home with your hard-on It will only drive you insane You can't shake it (or break it) with your Motown You can't melt it down in the rain You can't melt it down in the rain You can't melt it down in the rain You can't melt it down in the rain I've looked behind all of the faces That smile you down to you knees And the lips that say, Come on, taste us And when you try to they make you say Please When you try to they make you say Please When you try to they make you say Please When you try to they make you say Please When you try to they make you say Please Ah but don't go home with your hard-on ... Here come's your bride with her veil on Approach her, you wretch, if you dare Approach her, you ape with your tail on Once you have her she'll always be there Once you have her she'll always be there Once you have her she'll always be there Once you have her she'll always be there Once you have her she'll always be there Ah but don't go home with your hard-on ... So I work in that same beauty salon I'm chained to the old masquerade The lipstick, the shadow, the silicone I follow my father's trade I follow my father's trade Yes I follow my father's trade Yes I follow my father's trade Yes I follow my father's trade Ah but don't go home with your hard-on It will only drive you insane You can't shake it (or break it) with your Motown You can't melt it down in the rain You can't melt it down in the rain You can't melt it down in the rain You can't melt it down in the rain You can't melt it down in the rain You can't melt it down in the rain You can't melt it down in the rain You can't melt it down in the rain You can't melt it down in the rain

Are You Sitting Comfortably Moody Blues Take another sip my love and see what you will see, A fleet of golden galleons, on a crystal sea. Are you sitting comfortably? Let Merlin cast his spell. Ride along the winds of time and see where we have been, The glorious age of Camelot, when Guinevere was Queen. It all unfolds before your eyes As Merlin casts his spell. The seven wonders of the world he'll lay before your feet, In far-off lands, on distant shores, so many friends to meet. Are you sitting comfortably? Let Merlin cast his spell.

Skynyrd
I'm headed down a highway, got my suitcase by my side. Blue skies hangin' over my head, I got five hundred miles to ride. I'm goin' down to Memphis town to play a late night show. I hope the people are ready there 'cause the boys are all ready to go. Well, I'm a whiskey rock-a-roller, that's what I am. Women, whiskey and miles of travelin is all I understand. Yes, I was born a travelin manand my feets do burn the ground. I don't care for fancy music if your shoes can't shuffle around. I got a hundred women or more and there's no place I call home. The only time I'm satisfied is when I'm on the road. Well, I'm a whiskey rock-a-roller, that's what I am. Women, whiskey and miles of travelin' is all I understand. Sometimes I wonder where will we go. Lord, don't you take my whiskey and rock'n'roll. Take me down to Memphis town, busdriver, get me there. I got me a queenie, she got long black curly hair. She likes to drink Old Grandad and her shoes do shuffle around and everytime I see that girl, Lord, she wants to take me down. Well, I'm a whiskey rock-a-roller, that's what I am. Women, whiskey and miles of travelin' is all I understand. Sometimes I wonder where will we go. Lord, don't you take my whiskey and rock'n'roll. Come on fly, lets go |

Barstool Blues
Neil Young If I could hold on to just one thought For long enough to know Why my mind is moving so fast And the conversation is slow. Burn off all the fog And let the sun through to the snow Let me see your face again Before I have to go. I have seen you in the movies And in those magazines at night I saw you on the barstool when You held that glass so tight. And I saw you in my nightmares But I'll see you in my dreams And I might live a thousand years Before I know what that means. Once there was a friend of mine Who died a thousand deaths His life was filled with parasites And countless idle threats. He trusted in a woman And on her he made his bets Once there was a friend of mine Who died a thousand deaths.

Burn
Wide Mouth Mason Watch me drift a pillow of rain Shadows crease my face I'm drowning in the carpet 'cause it's brittle beneath my bed My body's shaking around I cling to the ground As she smiles there's nothing wrong Either way how am I to carry on and on and on and on But I would burn for you And I would love for you to burn Check the clock it's time I leave Weightless but for breathing Draw my soul out of the lines I'm petrified of what I'll find But I would burn for you And I would love for you to But I would burn for you And I would love for you to burn Maybe it's something I'll never understand The woman grows tired of the man 'cause it's easier to leave when living is so tough I guess she never loved him enough
