SATAN POINT!
So I did some volunteer work at cedar point, ohio this past weekend.
I would say that it was the biggest mistake of my life if that weren't an understatement. In fact i'm wondering if it has even put me off amusement parks for the rest of my life Just wondering if any body else has worked there or at any other amusement park for any amount of time and what you thought of it. |

I was working in a haunted house and we squeezed 30+ hours of work into a span of 3 days.
They had us housed in dorms that were something very much akin to Aushwitz or Treblinka. Our managers were a pair of ditzes who didn't seem to give a care very much about whether or not we were getting abused by the quests (and we were, I got hit in the face and so did everybody esle on numerous occasions) And for those 30+ hours we were not allowed to sit at all, or go to the bathroom, or get a drink, or whatever. It was just an unenjoyable expearience all round. I did get to scare the begeeblees out of people though ...that almost made it worth while... almost...but not quite... Cedar Point = Evil

I did some volunteer work at Opryland in Nashville years ago before it closed down. I worked one of the roller coasters, making sure folks had their shoulder harnesses down all the way. It was pretty fun. A lot of cute girls came through. The only bad part was they had these swinging gates that kept people in the lines from going past a certain point. When the gates opened up, this little boy bent over for some reason and the gate shut on his chest. Fortunately, they got him out before he got really hurt, but it still scared him, his dad, and all the workers to death. We could all imagine this little boy crushed to death by the gate.

Questions:
Why did you 'Volunteer' to work at a private business that would make money from your free labor? Were the profits going to charity that day? And if it was volunteer work and they were treating you bad, why didn't you say 'kiss my ass' and walk out? Just curious. |

first of all... why are you complaining in the nonsense forum...??
its only going to this normal discussion (albeit a bit silly) into a RANDOM PICTURE POST just kidding... does ´bonus money´ mean that it really wasn´t volunteer work at all, since you were in fact receiving a financial benefit? does this mean that essentially you just worked a shitty job? and that you won´t do it again? did this man work there? was he responsible for your torment?
