It is only 'readable' if you read it very fast (at a glance).
If you put more effort into it, it becomes a garbled mess.

Interesting yet scary... I'm all for proper spelling!

As long as it's in the "ballpark" then its ok. Keep in mind, not everyone is good/proficient at typing, so it's not always their fault.

I wonder if learning to read phonetically vs. whole-word recognition would affect this at all or if it's just an ability that's hardwired into all of us...

Also whether this holds true for people with dyslexia. I guess it would depend on which letters tend to get mixed up, etc.
