Cat Person or Dog Person?
Are you a cat person or a dog person?
I'm a cat person. I had a dog who died when I was three, and then I had two cats. One lived 12 years, the other 16 years. Now when I visit home there's 2 kittens. I like dogs too, but I only like large dogs if I know who they belong to... I had a bad experience in 3rd grade with the biggest dog I've ever seen in my life. It kept chasing after me while I was walking home after school, trying to bite me. That dog was bigger than I was! Each time it chased me, we reported the dog to the local Animal Potrol. The third time it happened one of my neighbors saw it. They jumped into their bronco, and used the large vehicle and the horn to scare it off. After that the Animal Patrol caught the beast for the third time, and I never saw it again.

Dog person all the way. Especially large dogs.
Cats only care if you're there because you give them food. But dogs think you're the greatest person on the planet. And if you have a large dog in your house, someone's going to think twice before breaking in.

i love all the furry domestic ones.
i've had rats, mice, one bunny, several cats & dogs. i love my cat very much, but i enjoy my dogs more because they can go places with me & they are just more social overall. in fact dogs pretty much demand attention. "play with me!" i know i know. cats like to play, too.

i´m such a dog person.
i´m allergic to cats, so i´ve never had a chance to get to love any. but dogs are just great, i love em all (well, maybe not poodles). i´ve had birds, rodents, reptiles, fish, crustaceans and amphibians as pets. i´d choose them all over a cat.

Like kittens (who couldn't), but I have a terrible allergy to cats. When I got my puppy I figured that I was a dog person only to find that I was wrong. What I really am is doggie racist. I only like certain breeds. So wrong of me, but then it is just my nature. I challenge anyone to meet my French Bulldog and DISLIKE him.

I fall into the category of "both" but I am more of a dog person by far. I have both a cat & a dog but if I had to pick just one...sorry all you cat people out there but I would absolutely have a dog. Each one has their own pro's and con's but the unconditional love you get from a dog just can't be beat! That and the fact that I don't have to worry about anyone breaking in (unless they want to come up against 75 lbs of muscle and sharp teeth!).

Only large dogs count. Anything smaller than a large cat is just a rat.

Cats. They're only aloof and unfriendly if they don't know you. Take the time to get to know a cat and they're just as friendly as a dog. I have 3 cats and 1 dog. I like 'em all.

I'm definitely a cat person, their independance is an endearing trait, and they can be very affectionate. I had a dog and I loved her dearly, but now that she's passed I can't imagine ever replacing her.

Ive had bad experiances with cats. there are 2 strays at my house (who now live outside :P) and just tore everything up and were really off and on ... one minute they'd want you to pet them and the next they're running away from you like your gonna stab them. I have 5 dogs and love them to death. I think if they were humans they would lay down in traffic for us if we wanted.

When I lived at home, we had both, and I loved the dog more. Well, now I have my own house and kids and pets, and I hate having either. Our cat is phsyco, and the dog is dumb. Maybe ask again when I replace the ones I have.

I'm a cat person all the way. I don't mind the bigger dogs, as long as they're semi-inteligent, but all dogs less than 1'-1.5' high piss me off.

Another desire for both. Despite my avatar I went cat. I've had cat's all my life. My gf turned me on to dogs (Dals specifically). Luckily they all get along.
I'm with you hawkeye; small dogs are called "scooch" dogs around here - 'cuz that's the sound they make when you step on them. Best thing about cats: You can go on holiday for a week and they're fine. Best thing about dogs: Unconditional love.
